Pod Liskou Descent

Janské Lázně - Vrchlabí

Take a cable car from Janske Lazne to the top of Cerna hora. You can enjoy magnificent views of the countryside when climbing up to 1256 m a.s.l.

You can find the K19A cycle track beyond the upper cable car station. Turn left and pass along the viewing tower and Cerna bouda mountain chalet to reach the K1B track. Down this track you will go past Kolinska chalet to Luciny junction and through the Pod Lesni boudou junction to Tetrevi chalet. Turn right for the K18 cycle track to reach Lahrovy boudy chalet. Turn left for the K1A cycle track and descend to Hribeci chalet. From there you can go to Vrchlabi via Lanov or via Strazne. The K1A track will take you to Strazny, while you can take the main road to descend to Vrchlabi.

  • Length: 24 km
  • Surface: Mostly a mix of reinforced and solid roads. However, greater attention is recommended, as some passages are in bad condition and the descents are sometimes quite steep. Increased attention should be paid to the section before Lahrovy chalet and the lower part of the descent down the main road from Strazne to Vrchlabi.
  • Attractions: Špindlerův Mlýn, Strážné

If you want to ride via Lanov, take the K1B cycle track and turn right for the K1C cycle track. Follow it through Luisino údolí, through Dolní Dvůr and you will reach Horní Lánov. In Horní Lánov, near the cowshed, turn right onto cycle route No. 4301, which will take you to Vrchlabí.

  • Length: 29 km
  • Surface: Mostly a mix of reinforced and solid roads. However, greater attention is recommended, as some passages are in bad condition and the descents are sometimes quite steep. Increased attention should be paid to the descent via Luisino valley.
