The Capek Brethren’s Trail

A 50-km long pilgrimage in the Eastern parts of the Krkonose

This red-marked hiking trail winds along diverse parts of the Eastern Krkonose, close to ancient forest and across military fortifications to the Stachelberg artillery fort.

This trail was named after the brothers Karel and Josef Capek, well-known Czech writers, and uses red markings in the terrain. It offers an almost 50 km long hike along well maintained roads, is suitable for bikes in the summer and for cross-country skis in the winter.

In the Krkonose, it runs through peaceful and easy landscape and offers various stops. You can visit, for instance, the Dvorsky forest, the Stachelberg artillery fort and Vapenka museum.
