Light Fortification Na Pomezí

An exhibition was established in one of the structures near the Stepanka viewing tower, where you can enjoy a guided tour of the history of the fortification, which was built in the area between the Jizerske Mountains and the Krkonose Mountains in 1937-1938. The simple equipment in the structure does not date back to 1937-1938; it is a little bit newer but was also used in these structures. It should give you an idea of where and how the fighting here took place. Some other structures near this one are maintained and repaired and some interesting things can be seen around.

As a follow-up to the exhibition, an activity called “Wandering about the History of Fortifications in the Jizerske Mountains and the Krkonose Mountains” offers trips focused on fortifications and some other points of interest.
