The Krkonose National Park is one of the most visited national parks in Europe. The peak period for natural sites, trails, routes, but also tourist destinations and attractions is the beginning of the summer holidays. However, this does not mean that the Krkonose Mountains are bursting at the seams. Don't be discouraged! Just avoid a few locations and take different routes to enjoy the peace and quiet of pure mountain nature.
For the fourth year, the Krkonose National Park Administration is temporarily closing some roads or their sections from 15 March to 31 May in order to protect against disturbance to sensitive species of animals, following the declaration of eight rest areas and the related reservation of paths and routes in these areas. These sections will be clearly marked on the ground with a sign with the accompanying text 'No access for nature conservation reasons from 15 March to 31 May'.
That the cucumber season comes with autumn in the Krkonose Mountains? We disagree! Local farmers, homesteaders and heartthrobs have prepared a number of wonderful news that will delight both natives and visitors. Be inspired and get to know the real Krkonose.
