Gendarmerie Stories from Jablonec

The intimate museum was built — and not only filled with exhibits, but also with stories — by Vladimir Petricek at just 16 years old. He shows visitors around his private collection every weekend from 10:30 to 16:00.

The main part of the smaller exhibition is a period gendarmerie station featuring uniforms, a motorcycle, weapons, and other period exhibits. The second room hosts temporary exhibitions related to significant events or associations of Jablonec nad Jizerou.

In the museum, you will learn not only about the activities of the gendarmes in the Jablonec region in the first half of the 20th century, but also historical curiosities about the development of the town, its notable residents, visitors, and events.
