Ski Touring Tracks

Print

Thanks to the cooperation between the Administration of the Krkonossky National Park, Mountain Rescue Service and the Czech Association of Mountain Guides, there are eight Ski touring tracks available in the Krkonose which mostly follow tourist trails. You can find them near Pec pod Snezkou, Spindleruv Mlyn and Rokytnice nad Jizerou.

Ski touring tracks are designed as tourist circuits for ski mountaineers. These tracks can be combined with other tourist trails and other paths and non-forest areas in Zone 3 and Zone 2 of the Krkonossky National Park. Some very high-risk passages can be found in most of them, and in bad weather an otherwise comfortable hike may become a fight for life. These tracks are in no way secured!

Most of these tracks are not marked with poles or tourist markings, and on some passages it is difficult to become orientated in certain weather. Be very careful when assessing your abilities and skills.

Please follow the tracks and do not ride outside them. Do not damage the surrounding nature. Inform yourself about the current avalanche status prior to every hike at www.hscr.cz or on +420 602 448 338.
