Paseky nad Jizerou is one of the most valuable centres of rural architecture in the Krkonoše, with many timbered houses with typical decorated gables. The Krkonoše Museum - Memorial to the Lost Patriots offers an extraordinary collection of musical instruments, a reference to the theatre traditions of the village and its history and life. The oldest architectural monument is the Church of St Wenceslas, built in 1789 in the Baroque style and featuring rare Rococo altars. Josef Šimůnek and Věnceslav Metelka, whose main activity falls in the period of the national enlightenment, greatly contributed to the cultural life of Paseky nad Jizerou. The traditional Paseky feast is held every year in the first half of August as the village’s traditional music event.
